DECEMBER 2025 STORM UPDATE: The cabin did not sustain any damage or flooding during the storm and it is accessible. Highway 2 over Stevens Pass is closed, so travelers from the west side of the state are advised to take I-90 to highway 97 to Leavenworth. We are Leavenworth locals, so feel free to message with any questions or specific directions from your point of origin. A Dog- and Family-Friendly Getaway! With a Hot Tub! This multi-level home's large rooms and vaulted ceilings give groups of up to eight enough space to relax after a long day of exploring the great outdoors. The rustic atmosphere is accentuated by lots of natural light and amazing views via the wide windows, the home's incredible wood and stonework, as well as a large variety of charming objects decorating the walls. Cool Views: Inside and Out Take in the stunning view and some bracing mountain air on your very own private deck, then step back inside to the cozy living room. The large, plush sectional sofa is perfect for getting family and friends together for some relaxation, made even better by the stone-facade wood stove that keeps everyone nice and toasty in the cold winter months. Eat and Relax: It's Vacation! The dining area is near the living room, with a charming table for four and seats for four more at the breakfast bar nearby. For those hoping to take in amazing mountainside views with their meal, good news! The deck offers another table for four and an incredible view to accompany your meal. We Love the PNW The main attraction of this home is all around you: the gorgeous nature of the Pacific Northwest! Visitors in the spring, summer, and fall can simply step out of the door and enjoy a walk through the surrounding woodlands, or head to nearby Lake Wenatchee State Park for hiking, fishing, swimming, golfing, and more. Wintertime visitors, meanwhile, can take a quick drive to Stevens Pass, and tear up the slopes with skis and snowboards. After excursions, you can come back home and take a nice, long soak in your private hot tub, complete with an incredible view on the deck. Leavenworth has Something for Everyone! If you ever need a break from exploring the great outdoors, the low-key, quaint town of Leavenworth is just 19 miles south. Styled like a Bavarian village, Leavenworth boasts charming architecture, several restaurants and shops, and gorgeous views of the mountains. You can explore the town's shops and cafes at any time of the year - as well as visit nearby attractions like the Upper Valley Museum and Icicle Junction mini-golf and arcade just a mile from town. October visitors can take in the excitement and energy of a traditional Oktoberfest festival, complete with all the brews and brats you could ever want. Pets We welcome your dogs and other pets with prior permission! We do ask for a $55 per pet fee to help us keep up with the cleaning. More details on pets can be found in the guidebook we will send to you after booking. If you want to bring a pet that is not a dog, please request permission before finalizing the booking. Thanks! Please note that the owner of the cabin lives nearby well out of sight and earshot from the cabin. Feel free to come down and say hello! You may be visited by our friendly white husky named Pondo, he is not lost, just friendly and curious. FYI this is a fully permitted short term rental: Chelan County permit number 000091.

Other Details to Note

Streamlined Communication Stay Cascadia utilizes automated messaging to ensure an enjoyable experience for all our guests. We provide a checklist that allows guests to select early check-in or a late check-out, notifies us if a guest wants to bring a pet, as well as provides clear check-in instructions and the opportunity to share those instructions with your party. Rest assured there is a human monitoring all of this so if you have an actual question we will get back to you as soon as possible. This is a highly seasonal location. There is ~6 feet of snow in the winter. The spring and fall are absolutely stunning. Summer can be as hot as 95 degrees, but usually there is a nice breeze up in the mountains. Connectivity October 2021 update: we now have fast internet courtesy of Starlink and Sonos speakers for your whole-house listening pleasure! This allows for cozy streaming movie nights this winter with wonderful surround sound. Weather/Climate Please note that we do not offer free cancellation due to inclement weather, poor air quality, or high wildfire danger in the area, unless active road closures due to fire or weather conditions prohibit guests from accessing the house, or advise guests to evacuate during their stay (Level 2 or higher fire evacuation notice, or road closures completely prohibit travel from guests’ point of origin to the house). As a concrete example of this policy, if you are traveling by car from west of the Cascades, if Stevens Pass is closed, the cabin is still accessible via Snoqualmie Pass to Blewett Pass to Leavenworth or via Snoqualmie Pass to Wenatchee to Leavenworth, so a closure of Stevens Pass does not prohibit your travel options in this case. If Level 2 or higher fire evacuation notice is in effect or road closures completely prohibit travel from guests' point of origin to the house we will refund the guest each night that is in effect. If evacuation notice and closures remain in effect beyond half of the guest's scheduled stay we will issue an entire refund. In the case of a cancellation, the guest is required to make that cancellation and/or reschedule through Airbnb.

Would highly recommend this cabin and would stay again in a heartbeat! Host was friendly and responsive and the place was so clean and cozy. They even had a Christmas tree up when we went, which was such a sweet touch. 5 stars!

Jon's place was perfect for our group who spent a good amount of time in Leavenworth. Getting to the house was easy and, with it being fairly remote, a perfect place to star gaze while chilling in the hot tub.

We had a wonderful time! The home is beautiful and relaxing. The hot tub was great. The beds were comfortable. The night sky was amazing. They’ve supplied the home with everything you may need. We enjoyed activities like hiking and tubing, plus time in downtown Leavenworth. We loved it. So grateful for our time there!

There are no taxis or public transit out near the cabin, so you will need to have your own vehicle. Please carpool because parking in the driveway is limited. Important Winter Access Note: If it is winter, you MUST bring traction tires, chains, and/or all-wheel drive (with good tires). The road to the cabin is compact snow and ice for 1.3 miles. Often the highway to Leavenworth also requires traction tires, check the conditions on the mountain passes at WSDOT's website. Please also bring boots and waterproof pants in case you need to walk the last 200 feet from your car to the cabin door due to traction difficulties. It is a good idea to bring snowshoes or boots with traction on them as well. We plow the road every day but it can take time so be prepared to be flexible if you see snow in the forecast. For Parking during the Winter: Sometimes, the driveway requires 4WD to access (snow or spring mud). In this case, please be careful and when in doubt park in the pullout on Roaring Creek road just across from the driveway. From there it is a short walk up to the cabin.
